The 12 Most Important Gurus Everyone Should Be Following
I will next introduce you to the 12 most prominent gurus/experts/entrepreneurs whom you should be following, and whose books, videos, training and blog posts you should familiarize yourself with.
Because by LEARNING from these experienced professionals, AND by APPLYING what you learn, you can succeed in reaching important goals in your life.
What is the fastest way to reach our goal? How do we succeed as fast and as big as possible?
By observing what those who have already reached that same goal have actually done. In other words, the fastest and the surest way to success is by EMULATING WINNERS.
These experienced gurus have an abundance of knowhow, experience and skills. They have a lot to give, so why not use that?
Choose THREE of the following gurus and familiarize yourself with their work. It may be too tough to go through all 12, so choose only three. Read their free blog posts, watch their YouTube videos, order their free guides, and maybe even consider a training session.
I have personally purchased something from each of these gurus, such as a book or a training session, so I know them well, and that’s why I’m recommending them. The gurus are not listed in any specific order.
GURU 1 – Tony Robbins
Tony Robbins, 57, is an American author, entrepreneur, philanthropist and life coach. Robbins is perhaps the most well-known motivational speaker and coach in the world. Some 4 million people have participated in his live seminars, such as Unlimited Power and Awaken the Giant Within. Tony Robbins’ estimated net worth is over 500 million dollars, and all of his businesses have a combined revenue of about 5 million dollars. When Tony is speaking about building a business, we really should pay attention.
GURU 2 – George S. Clason
George S. Clason was an American author best known for his classic book The Richest Man in Babylon. The book was published already in 1926, but even today, it is undeniably one of the most important books every entrepreneur can read.
Among other things, The Richest Man in Babylon presents a clear picture of how you can build your wealth in 7 different ways (7 Cures for a Lean Purse). You can for instance order the book on Amazon for a little more than 5 dollars –> https://goo.gl/fQfwSR
GURU 3 – MJ DeMarco
MJ DeMarco is an American entrepreneur and author. DeMarco built a limousine rental business, which thrived for many years. DeMarco eventually sold the company and started writing books. DeMarco’s Millionaire Fastlane is one of the best books I have ever read. DeMarco’s books are very clear and comprehensive. His latest book is called UnScripted. I strongly recommend both books. They are absolute must-reads if your goal is to build an online business.
GURU 4 – Jim Rohn
Jim Rohn was an American business philosopher and author, whose books have had a profound influence on me and my activities. If I had to name one business philosopher to follow, it would be Jim Rohn. Rohn’s background was in direct sales, and he worked, among other roles, as a salesperson for AbundaVita. Jim Rohn has coached famous people, such as Tony Robbins and Mark R. Hughes, the founder of Herbalife. Jim Rohn was in my view one of the best motivational speakers and coaches in the world.
GURU 5 – Robert Kiyosaki
Robert Toru Kiyosaki is a Japanese American businessman. He was active in business at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. He retired as financially independent at the age of 47. Kiyosaki founded numerous companies during his life. His investment activities were focused on real estate. In addition to investing, Kiyosaki authored finance books on multilevel marketing among other topics. In 2011 Kiyosaki published a book on investment advice together with Donald Trump. Books by Kiyosaki and his co-authors have sold over 24 million copies in total. His first success, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, sold 4 million copies in the years 1998-2004, and it topped best-seller lists for a long time.
If you want to learn to build your wealth, Robert Kiyosaki is a guru worth getting to know.
GURU 6 – Richard Branson
Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson is a British businessman and adventurer known for his Virgin brand. Queen Elizabeth II knighted him in 1999 for his services in entrepreneurship according to British tradition.
Richard Branson was listed as the seventh richest person in the UK by the Sunday Times Rich List in 2005. Branson has appeared as himself in several TV shows, such as Friends, Baywatch and the Fox reality show The Rebel Billionaire.
Richard Branson’s first success story, the Virgin record label, was born when Mike Oldfield could not find a record label to publish his debut album. Virgin Records was created for that purpose. Branson came up with the word ‘virgin’ because at the time, he was a virgin in business.
Richard Branson’s books are truly inspiring. Two of my favourites are Losing My Virginity: How I’ve Survived, Had Fun, And Made a Fortune Doing Business My Way and Screw It, Let’s Do It!
GURU 7 – Grant Cardone
Grant Cardone is an American businessman, author, speaker and sales coach. Cardone is a self-made millionaire, who has built his fortune from zero. Cardone’s businesses have a combined revenue of 100 million dollars, and he has about 4,000 investment properties valued at 350 million.
Grant Cardone is a tough cookie. He is specially skilled at inspiring, motivating and presenting things clearly. Cardone is undeniably one of the best coaches in the world, and his teachings have influenced me in a significant way. Grant Cardone is on my list of three most important gurus. The 10X Rule is my absolute favourite among his books.
GURU 8 – Michael Masterson
Michael Masterson is an American businessman and author. Masterson is an experienced professional in direct sales and marketing and has helped build companies with revenues of hundreds of millions.
Michael Masterson is on my list of three most important gurus together with Grant Cardone and Jim Rohn. Michael Masterson is phenomenal at making things easy to understand. I have acquired a great deal of valuable information from Masterson’s books – it’s impossible to say he hasn’t had a significant influence on my personal development and achievements as an entrepreneur.
The Michael Masterson books I especially recommend are Ready, Fire, Aim and Seven Years to Seven Figures.
GURU 9 – David Schwartz
David Schwartz was an American guru of personal development and motivation known for his classic The Magic of Thinking Big. The book outlines a clear picture of what an entrepreneur has to do to reach higher goals. The book is exciting, inspiring and motivating, but also gives specific instructions. The Magic of Thinking Big is absolutely in the top 10 of books I have ever read. The book has sold millions of copies after its publication in 1959 and it has inspired millions of entrepreneurs all over the world.
GURU 10 – Drew Eric Whitman
Drew Eric Whitman is a guru of direct marketing, whose teachings have had a major influence on how I do marketing on Facebook and Google. Whitman is an experienced professional in marketing, having done marketing for large companies such as the American Automobile Association, Advertising Specialty Institute, American Legion, Amoco, Faber-Castell, Texaco, Day-Timers, the list goes on.
Whitman’s best-seller Cashvertising is a guide I strongly recommend for those interested to learn how to do marketing that generates sales.
GURU 11 – Frank Kern
Frank Kern is an American master of direct marketing, whom I encountered on the Internet in 2009. His video, where he shared he had done a product launch of over 24 million dollars with Stompernet, caught my attention. Since then, I have been following Kern for years and purchased training from him several times.
Frank Kern is a brilliant coach. I have learned a great deal from him about building sales processes, copywriting, and selling through webinars, and especially direct marketing and email marketing.
GURU 12 – Brendon Burchard
Brendon Burchard is an American guru of personal development and motivation who rose to fame from nowhere in 2010. Success Magazine named Burchard one of the best 25 personal development gurus in the world. Burchard has over 5 million followers on Facebook and over 500,000 followers on YouTube. Burchard is undeniably one of the most remarkable gurus of our time and continues to inspire millions of people all over the globe.
I strongly recommend reading Burchard’s The Charge and The Millionaire Messenger, both of which are available on Amazon.
These are in my opinion the 12 most important gurus every entrepreneur should be following, and whose work every entrepreneur should get acquainted with. These gurus have so much knowledge to share that by soaking up all this information we are naturally taking big leaps towards our own goals.
As I said in the beginning, choose only THREE of these gurus, and start reading their work.
Don’t try to familiarize yourself with everyone at once. It’s hard and it will take a long time. Choose only the three most interesting to you, and start to sift through all the information they offer free of charge. I strongly recommend reading their books as well. It has helped me tremendously. Reading books is one of the cheapest and fastest ways to make progress and deliver results.
